This is the adults-only side of the Hard Rock resort in Puerto Aventuras, a five-star all-inclusive with a beachfront position and a private beach area. Sun loungers and beach chairs sit under sun umbrellas, and the pool choices are generous: an outdoor pool, an infinity pool, a pool with a view, plus the pool bar for drinks by the water. Sun terraces give you another place to settle in, and a water park is among the facilities for days when you want more splash.
When you feel like moving, there is plenty to do. Workouts happen in the fitness center, with fitness classes and yoga classes on offer, the tennis court comes with tennis equipment, and snorkelling is available for time in the sea. Evenings are where the all-inclusive plan shows its personality.
