The resort sits directly on the beach, with sun loungers and beach chairs for long, lazy stretches by the water. Away from the sand, there is an outdoor pool with a shallow end, a sun terrace and a garden for shade. Active guests can head to the on-site water sports facilities for canoeing, windsurfing, snorkelling and diving, or try fishing, cycling and horse riding. On dry land there is a tennis court with equipment, table tennis, archery, aerobics, yoga and other fitness classes, and a fitness center for a regular workout.

When it's time to unwind, the spa and wellness center offers massage services, with a sauna and a hot tub/jacuzzi for a longer reset. A hair salon, beauty services and a barber/beauty shop help you get ready for the evening. After dark, the beach bar and the lounge bar are natural places for a sunset drink, and wine and champagne are served at the bar. Entertainment staff keep evenings lively with live music and performances, karaoke, bingo and a round of darts, and the night winds up at the DJ-led nightclub.

Rooms at Viva V Samana are non-smoking and air-conditioned, and each has a private bathroom, a TV and a coffee/tea maker. The Vibe Rooms are 344 sq ft, with a desk and a hair dryer, and some categories sleep two while others sleep up to four. The V Rooms are also 344 sq ft and add a mini-fridge, a microwave and an alarm clock, with options for two or four guests.

If you want something more private, the Vibe Ocean View Room comes with its own private pool, plus a safety deposit box, a mini-fridge and a hair dryer, and it sleeps three at most. The V Ocean View Room offers the same comforts minus the private pool, with the same three-guest limit.

For extra space, the Bungalows measure 581 sq ft and take two or four guests, with a desk, a TV, a coffee/tea maker and a hair dryer. The Accessible Room measures 344 sq ft and sleeps up to two. When booking, check each category's maximum occupancy, especially if you're travelling as a group and need more than one room.
