When to go

Xpu Ha has a tropical climate with two broad seasons. The drier, sunnier months run roughly from November to April, when days are warm and the humidity is lower, so this is the most popular time for beach holidays. From about May to October it is hotter and more humid, with afternoon showers common, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November. Seaweed (sargassum) can wash up on Caribbean beaches in the Riviera Maya, mostly in the warmer months, so conditions on the sand vary from week to week.
